The creative force behind Roberta’s art generates from her love of land form/nature, architecture, keen observation skills and an innate sense of design.  Roberta’s fluent expressionist style is defined by her colorful use of oil paint, pastel and mixed medium. She seeks to portray the emotional effect of the content in her works. The landscape, climate, plant material, whatever the image is, contains an emotional response via gesture, color or mood of the drawing.

Roberta’s childhood years were saturated with the creative spirit from her artist parents, captivating rural farm living and in contrast, magical trips to the city of Philadelphia.  Her artistic talents led to an education at Rhode Island School of Design and Massachusetts Bay Community College, 1978 – 1983, with earned degrees in Bachelor of Landscape Architecture, Bachelor of Fine Arts and Associate in Science; Horticulture.

Roberta sees her influences as columns of experience.

Each decade brought forth different artistic expression.

The 70’s; craft shop owner on Church Street, West Chester, Pa. Roberta’s Curio

The 80’s; Landscape Architect in the Tri State area of Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana

1993 – 2006;  Art on the wall, Murals and Faux in Florida and Texas

2007; Roberta, her husband, Nick, and children Violetta and Raffaele moved to Pennsylvania.

This is the artist’s home state. Here, Roberta has focused on solo art shows, exhibits, juried shows and gallery representation.
